About Me

My name is Avery Stites, and I am a composer, audio engineer, and sound designer for Film, TV, Commercials, and all Media. Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have 20+ years experience of in creating, engineering, mixing, mastering, and recording music and audio. To say I love music and audio and will be involved with it for the rest of my life is probably an oversimplification.

My first experience in sync licensing music for TV and film was the placement of several songs off of my solo album Ave Stites, Eight Years, in the television show Friday Night Lights on NBC. After this, I was hooked. Now creating mostly instrumental production music for media, I focus on the Hip-Hop, Electronic and EDM, Comedy, and Tension genres. My music has been used many thousands of times on networks such as ABC, CBS, NBC, CNBC, Netflix, FOX, TBS, TNT, USA, BRAVO, BBC, MTV, MTV2, VH1, BET, VICE, A&E, HGTV, History, OWN, The Cooking Channel, WEtv, NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, Bally Sports, ESPN, Lifetime, Discovery, Animal Planet, Smithsonian Channel, Logo, and many more.  Recently, I finished a nearly two-year stint as an in-house senior staff composer, producer and production A&R rep for BandLab US, Inc.
